Our Story

What do you do when you can’t get the thing you need? Make it yourself.

Entering the finish industry in 2004, Greg Riska and Bryant Bach always held high standards. Beginning as day-labor painters, they quickly developed well-rounded expertise and leadership chops. Over the course of two decades, they started multiple businesses, including their own finish company, and have earned a reputation for providing the best finishes in the Flathead Valley.

In the early 2020’s, Greg and Bryant grew frustrated with the difficulty of finding wood products to receive their custom finishes that lived up to their expectations. Drawing on their vast experience in the industry, Glacier Millworks was born from a desire to solve that problem, and in doing so, provide customers with the highest quality products available on the market–and at an honest price.

Glacier Millworks is founded on the idea that just because something is artisan, doesn’t mean it needs to cost an arm and a leg. By working directly with boots-on-the-ground contractors, and managing the quality control process from tip-to-tail, we are able to provide competitive pricing by cutting out the middleman and passing those savings directly to the customer.

In this business, you’re only as good as your people. Greg and Bryant have always placed a heavy emphasis on investing in their employees. Over the years, they’ve developed a one-of-a-kind culture that attracts competent professionals, and encourages them to become good people and great craftsmen.

In a modern construction industry that often sacrifices doing good work over speed, profitability, and competition, Glacier Millworks hopes to be a breath of fresh air. We trust that our people, culture, and products will provide not only a high quality end result, but also an enjoyable process while getting there.
